Firing

Need a piece fired?  We can help!

Our kiln yard is fully operational, and we are able to accommodate most firing requests with ease.

We have 8 electric kilns, 2 raku, and 4 gas.

We offer:

  • Bisque - our firing schedule is slow 28+hour to cone 04 so large pieces even tiles over 12 inches across rarely crack

  • Low Fire - Cone 06-04

  • Mid Range - Cone 5 and 6 Oxidation

  • High Fire - Cone10 Reduction & Oxidation

  • Raku**

  • full kiln rental

  • Specialty firings such as luster firings are available upon request

firings start at $0.02 per cubic inch or .015 for over 1250 cubic inches! if you use studio glaze it adds $0.0025/cubic inch for cone 10 and $0.005/cubic inch for cone 5

Please talk to our studio host about getting your piece fired.

**Raku firing is the second Saturday of each month from 5pm - 8pm. & is potluck so please bring a dish to share.
